DVD is nice but
VHS is preferred!!

Our presenters are equipped with both VHS and DVD copies of their shows.  BUT….

We can't guarantee that the DVD won't stick or freeze.  When sticking occurs it is usually not a problem with the disk.  It is usually a problem with the player.

DVD technology is still new and the reliability of most players varies widely.

So, what if you look around and find that you only have DVD players?
Well, if you can, please take this time to locate a VHS player for the program.  Most DVD players and VHS players have the same type cable outputs for connecting to a TV or video projector.

For whatever reason, I HAVE to use DVD...so….how can I improve my chances that our DVD show won't skip or freeze?

IF YOU PLAY THE DVD THROUGH A COMPUTER/LAPTOP.  For the best results please turn off your screen saver.  Please turn off your Outlook or any email program.  Please make sure the laptop is not connected to any network or the internet.  Please make sure there are no other programs running in the background.

IF YOU USE A STAND ALONE DVD PLAYER.  A newer DVD player will have the best chance of playing the program without sticking.
